Our mission is unchanged. It is to implement the Government's response effort, and keep the Public Service running for New Zealanders.
The Level 4 lockdown is about stopping the spread of the virus and saving lives.
But it's crucial the Public Service keeps working and delivering services to New Zealanders. It's a challenge during Alert level 4 but we've done it before and we can do it again.
It's up to us as public servants. No one else can do this.
We all have a role to play during this challenging time, whether in frontline service delivery or working from home. We can all make a difference, individually and collectively.
It is in times of crisis when the spirit of service to the community that unites us as public servants comes to the fore.
While we need to step up, we also need to keep each other safe and spend time with family.
