We are seeking an experienced and innovative leader to serve as the Secretary for Social Investment and Chief Executive (Secretary for Social Investment), Social Investment Agency (SIA). SIA is a new central agency focused on leading the development of social investment across Government and driving change to achieve better outcomes from social service spending.

SIA is responsible for building tools that can be easily adopted by other departments and non-government agencies. This role includes driving efficient, effective and compatible social investment practice across government and its providers, including contracting for outcomes using research, evidence and lessons learned.

The Secretary for Social Investment will oversee the delivery of social investment - providing leadership across the Public Service to embed the approach, driving change in the delivery of social services, and exerting influence to ensure better results for New Zealand’s most vulnerable.

We are looking for an influential and impactful leader skilled in building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across the public and social sector. You will have experience designing and delivering investments that have successfully improved measurable outcomes for a targeted population. As Secretary for Social Investment, you will also be a sound organisational leader ready to position and develop the agency for strategic impact.
