Progress of counterterrorism agencies against Papa Pounamu priority areas
The system continues to build on past progress and will maintain focus on the diversity and equity efforts made across the Public Service.
The cumulative results of action taken under the Papa Pounamu, Kia Toipoto and pay equity workstreams, of the Public Service diversity, equity and inclusion work programme over the last five years show that the Public Service makes better progress when there is a comprehensive and coordinated approach focused on the areas that will make the biggest difference, sharing our resources and best practice.
Working alongside the Public Service, the Commission sets system expectations, and then supports the co-ordination of agency efforts at an individual and system level.
The workforce data, participants’ perspectives from the Leadership Development Centre, feedback and input from Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practitioners across the system and the annual reports from Public Service agencies, supports insights on how to improve policy development and service provision for all New Zealanders.
Beyond this report, New Zealanders will see the impact of this work through the delivery of better public services, from a workforce that understands and connects with them reflecting and respecting the communities that make up our nation.
