Building understanding of pay gap drivers
We will grow our data to build understanding about drivers of Public Service pay gaps, making sure it is visible, available and used. We will weave this with the voices of wāhine, Māori, Pacific, ethnic, Rainbow and disability communities to inform our work.

We will conduct Māori, Pacific, and ethnic communities deep dive analysis into occupation segregation.

We will, in partnership with population agencies and employee-led networks, ensure workforce data and Te Taunaki deep dive analysis is available for Māori, Pacific and ethnic public servants. This will include bringing an intersectionality lens to data collection through Te Taunaki; co-designing and assessing what changes could be made to Te Taunaki; and reviewing, updating and issuing guidance on data collection for agencies.

We will release and publicise Māori, Pacific, ethnic, disability and Rainbow Public Service deep dives in partnership with our Employee-led networks.
