Code of Conduct

The Public Service Commissioner has issued a Code of Conduct for Crown Entity Board Members which applies to the board members of statutory entities (excluding corporations sole) and Crown entity companies (excluding Crown Research Institutes and their subsidiaries). The Public Service Commissioner has also issued a Code of Conduct for directors of Public Finance Act 1989 Schedule 4A Companies
The Standards of Integrity and Conduct, issued by the Public Service Commission, applies to Crown entity employees

Legal requirements: The Code of Conduct should be read in conjunction with the collective and individual duties of board members (sections 49-57 of the Crown Entities Act 2004) Standards of Integrity and Conduct applies to Crown entity employees – Section 17 of the Public Service Act 2020 Ministerial expectations: Responsible Ministers should provide detail of their expectations that board members will comply with any relevant Code of Conduct in letters of appointment |
